Terms and Conditions for Georgio's Ltd

1. General Information:

a. The following clauses outline the terms and conditions governing the agreement with Georgio’s Ltd.
b. For any clarifications or enquiries about your rights under these clauses, contact us at the provided address or telephone number.

2. Scope of Work: Central Heating, Plumbing, Electrical, Air Conditioning and Building Works:

a. The company has provided a quotation for installing central heating,
plumbing equipment,
electrical works, air conditioning and/or building works to meet your property’s requirements.
b. Upon acceptance of the quotation, the company will execute the specified
work, subject to the conditions outlined in this agreement.
c. Gas, electrical and air conditioning engineers and/or labourers will
address any issues discovered during installation.
d. Additional costs may apply for unexpected issues or upgrades.

3. Landlord’s Permission (For Tenants):

a. Tenants must secure their landlord’s permission for the works.
b. The company assumes permission is granted and is not liable for any loss
or damage resulting from failure to obtain such permission.

4. Funding from Government Scheme:

a. If funding is secured via a government scheme, the client must be a homeowner only.
b. Further documentation may be required to support ownership and/or benefit
type.

5. Company Charges:

a. Charges are outlined in the quotation.
b. In situations when a quotation has not and /or cannot be provided (ie: Immediate or Emergency works), then our normal charges apply and are as follows: £80 plus VAT per hour during normal working hours (evening and weekend prices may vary). Additional charges will be applied for the supply of any parts and materials as needed and these will be clearly laid out on the invoice you receive.
c. Deposit payments are accepted via credit or debit card, BACS, or cash. Bank details are included on all our invoices. Your deposit payments are covered if paid by credit card and protected under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. We do not accept cheque as a payment method.
d. Invoices are due upon receipt; overdue invoices by more than 7 days may incur an additional late payment fee.

6. Electrical Supply and Gas Line:

a. Adequate electrical supply to the dwelling is a precondition for commencing work.
b. The company may cancel or reschedule the contract if the required supply is not available, with no liability for associated costs.
c. Additional charges apply if a new gas line is needed, charged at standard hourly rates in addition to the quoted price.

7. Site Access:

Free access is required for the delivery of building materials, plant, machinery, skips, etc.

8. Planning Permission and Client Responsibilities:

a. The client is responsible for arranging planning permission, building control, and any utility changes.
b. Georgio’s may request proof of planning permission before commencing work.
c. Unforeseen delays due to planning permission issues are not the company’s liability.
d. In certain circumstances the size of the existing gas and electrical power rate cannot always be determined. If a new gas line or power supply is required, this will be charged at our standard hourly rates and will be in addition to the quoted price.

9. Working Arrangements:

Georgio’s will coordinate working methods with the client to minimize disruption and ensure efficient work.

10. Asbestos Removal:

a. The prices specified in this agreement do not include the price of removing any dangerous waste materials such as asbestos found when carrying out the works.
a. The company reserves the right to withdraw staff if asbestos is encountered during the works until the site is made safe.
b. Asbestos removal is not included in the price; a separate fee will be provided upon customer request.

11. Boiler Installations Warranty and Servicing:

a. The warranty for a boiler and/or cylinder will be covered by the manufacturers as agreed in the quotation.
b. The warranty only applies to the boiler and does not extend to any existing parts of the system.
c. All other works carried out by Georgio’s Limited (both parts and labour) are guaranteed for 12 months.
d. This guarantee does not cover existing components or pipework that has not been replaced.
e. Boilers need to be serviced annually to remain under warranty. These warranties are not insurance-backed.
f. If the warranty becomes void due to the appliance not being serviced, Georgio’s Limited accepts no responsibility for this.
g. While Georgio’s Limited aims to remind clients to have the appliance serviced, the responsibility lies with the customer.

12. Conversion of Tank-Fed Central Heating Systems:

a. When converting an existing tank-fed central heating system to a combination boiler, system boiler, or any pressurized system, there is a very low risk that existing fittings, pipework, radiators, radiator valves, etc., may leak.
b. Customers are advised to address any previous or current leaks before work is carried out by Georgio’s Ltd.
c. The potential for leaks arises because combination boilers, system boilers, or sealed systems operate under constant pressure, which may cause existing issues to reoccur. However, such occurrences are rare.

13. Air Conditioning Unit Installations and Servicing:

a. The warranty for an air conditioning unit/s will be covered by the manufacturers as agreed in the quotation.
b. The warranty only applies to the air conditioning unit itself and does not extend to any existing parts of the system.
c. All other works carried out by Georgio’s Limited (both parts and labour) are guaranteed for 12 months.
d. This guarantee does not cover existing components or pipework that has not been replaced
e. Annual servicing of the air conditioning unit/s will be required for the warranty to be valid. Georgio’s Limited accepts no responsibility for this. These warranties are not insurance-backed.
f. If the warranty becomes void due to the appliance not being serviced, Georgio’s Limited accepts no responsibility for this.

14. Client Access and Responsibility:

a. Any appointments that we attend, and the property owner/tenant is not home to allow us access may incur charges.
b. Any kitchen furniture, cupboards, floorboards, carpets etc in any room that may need to be removed by the engineer to complete the job, may not go back exactly and it is not our responsibility for any damage caused, we would advise you to remove the item(s) prior to install, we would however put all back to the best of our ability.

15. Materials and Waste:

Used or removed materials on-site remain Georgio’s Ltd property and will be disposed of accordingly.

16. Timber Condition Disclaimer:

No responsibility is taken for perished or rotten timber in existing structures.

17. Insurance:

a. Georgio’s Ltd has Public Liability and Employers’ Liability insurance.
b. Georgio’s Ltd may directly employ or subcontract labour to work on site. Each sub-contractor takes full responsibility for their own third-party liability.
c. The company oversees all works, whether directly employing or subcontracting labour.

18. Data Protection:

All client information is retained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and remains confidential.

19. Project Documentation and Media Use:

Georgio’s Ltd reserves the right to use project pictures for marketing purposes unless the client objects in writing at the project’s start.

These terms and conditions are subject to change and should be reviewed periodically. All proceedings are governed by English Law.
